About the images:

The 28 ft. tall statue of Gregory of Nin by Ivan Meštrović is located in Split Croatia. Rubbing the statue's toe is said to bring good luck, and because of this, the toe has been worn smooth and shiny as a result.

The statue was erected in September 1929 in the Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace and can be seen in postcards of the pre-World War II period. In 1941, the statue was moved outside the city by Italian occupying forces. In 1954, it was re-erected in a different location, to the north of the Palace and Old Town of Split, just outside the Golden Gate, where it currently sits.

Wetsuit hangars outside of a dive shop in Tisno Croatia. We walked past this water-front dive shop almost every day during our stay in early winter 2020. The water in Croatia is crystal clear and I can only imagine how great the diving is during the summer.

Arquipelago - Centro De Artes Contemporáneas in Ribeira Grande on São Miguel Island. Built out of the abundant volcanic rock it’s modern, old, and dark all at once.

One of many ladders leading to the sea along the sea wall in Tisno Croatia. The water was so clear and inviting but the temperature kept us out. I imagine that this gets a lot of use in the summertime.

One of many “roof dogs” found in Morocco. There were lots of stray animals around the country and select pets were kept inside and often found their way to the roof where they could keep an eye out of their humans return.

On the main beach between Tamraght and Taghazout Morocco was this large rock. At high tide it was almost completely submerged but at low tide you could walk underneath it and inspect all the sea creatures attached to the underside.
